With the collapse of Farepack more than 150’000 have lost in excess of £40 million collectively. And now look set to have neither their money back or the presents they would have bought with it this Xmas.

Update (28th November)* If you paid for Farepak through Visa or Mastercard then you are entitled to a full refund. HSBC processed all Farepak card payments and has a list of approx 30’000 Farepak customers who can claim a full refund.

Unfortunatly the data protection act means HSBC cannot relsease the names of the people entitled to a refund. So it is up to Farepak customers to get in touch with their credit card company.

At present only about 3000 out of the 30’000 people who paid with a credit card have claimed a full refund.
