Potentially doubling or tripling your adsense revenue

One of the most important things you can do if you run a blog or website is increase your traffic to it. As more traffic will mean potentially more Adsense reveue.

So I stumbled upon this traffic building idea the other day and wondered has anyone anyone tried it?

Basically if your site is written in English you could translate the pages into another language? French, Dutch, German. Using a free online translation service like Altavista Babelfish http://babelfish.altavista.com

Therefore if your website has 50 pages you could increase your pages by 3 or 4 times very quickly to say 200 pages. In the hope that more pages will show up in search engines, and give you a different, new traffic stream. What I don’t know is - Most translation services are not too hot at grammer, would google, yahoo, msn penalise your translated pages and not index them making the whole exercise worthless?

Anyone who has an answer to this please let me know? and leave a comment.
