PAYG vs contract
If you are one of the many millions of people in the Uk who opt for using a pay as you go mobile phone, you could be paying more in the long run compare with having a contract phone.
Most PAYG phone users say the reason they don’t have a contract phone is due to the low level of mobile calls they make.
But a recent survey by mobileshop.com who surveyed 120’000 people found in many cases PAYG customers were paying 600% more than contract customers for their calls. It also said that over 47% of people of people of Pay As You Go spent £25 or more per month on their mobile phone. Those people who spend over £35 or more on PAYG are paying far to much as £35 can secure 100′s of free minutes and texts on a contract phone.
One of the most expensive things to do on a PAYG phone is ring another network, which most providers charge between 20p and 30p per minute. Cross network calls are usually included in contract phone call allowance.
