How to get your christmas photos printed for free

December 19, 2007 – 7:34 pm

If you’ve got a digital camera (or if you’re lucky enough to be getting one for Christmas), you may be new to the whole process of uploading them to the PC and printing them out either at home on your own printer, or getting them printed online. It’s pretty easy to do. With most camera’s you get a cable that you plug in between the camera and the pc and then it’s just a matter of copying the images from one place to the other which most people know how to do.

Choosing how you print things can be difficult though, there are so many printers out there, and do you want a dedicated printer, or would it be better to get one that will do all sorts of things AND do photos. Then you’ve got to buy the photo paper and trim them etc. Somehow it just seems much easier to get someone else to do them, and to be honest with all the offers that are out there at the moment I’d certainly suggest that to begin with at least you opt to let someone else do the hard work for you, especially as with the sign up offers below you can get at least 145 photos printed for free!

Below are the details of a number of the sites who are currently offering deals at the moment. Some are for new users, and others are on going offers.

Truprint offers 20 free prints to new users when they sign up, and their prints start from 8p.

Photobox prints start from 4p per print, and they will give you 30 free prints for joining. They also accept paypal which can be very useful.

Extrafilm offer 10 free prints when you first sign up, and prices start from 5p per print.

MyPix offer 40 free prints to new members (you’ll see the offer when you click to sign up) and are also offering entry into a competition when you join at the moment as well. This site also offers paypal as a payment option.

Pixum offer 25 free prints when you join, and prices start from 5p per photo. They also offer a refer a friend option where you can get extra free prints by referring your friends and family to the site as well, each time you refer someone you can get another 20 prints for free. Oh, and your friend will get a bonus of a free 12” poster as well as the 25 free prints.

Snapfish offer their new customer 20 free prints to begin with, and prices start from 8p per print.

Most of these sites also offer printing onto a variety of mediums like t-shirts and mugs, etc. and it’s worth checking through to see who’s going to give you the best deal depending on what you want to order each time you want something as deals change from time to time and prices may vary as well. Also, don’t run off and register for all of these sites at the same time, choose each offer as you need it – some of the offers will only be available for the first week or month of you being a member, so it’s best to save the offers till you have the photo’s ready to send for printing.
