Christmas present ideas for her

December 4, 2007 – 7:27 pm

We all want to be thought of as generous when we give gifts at Christmas and it’s lovely to see the look on someone’s face when they open something we’ve bought for them and are delighted by it. It’s not always easy however to afford all the things we’d like to buy for people, so here are a few ideas of some gifts for your lady friend that are priced much lower than you might expect, and are in good taste. There are also a few suggestions of things that you should definitely avoid buying too! ;-)
Half price perfumes has a sale on at the moment and has a good selection of perfumes at just £10, like Elizabeth Arden Provocative Interlude 50ml eau de parfum which has an RRP of £40, or the Cindy Crawford 30ml eau de toilette spray & FREE Cindy Crawford T-Shirt with an RRP of £36 (without the t-shirt). Or if you can afford just a little bit more, then what about this Carolina Herrera 212 For Her 30ml eau de toilette & watch Giftset for £19.99 This normally retails at £45 without the watch, so again you’re getting a lot for your money. Boots is another place that does a wide selection of perfumes, and if you’re not sure what to get, then something like their 5 perfume selection set might fit the bill, as it will let her try a selection and then choose the one she likes best for herself as it contains 5 small perfumes and a voucher for a full sized bottle of whichever one she prefers.

Cushties seem to go down well with every woman I’ve met – they’re just so cuddly and this one is only £6.95 (they’re normally around £10). Perhaps she’d like a romantic film on DVD such as the 20th Anniversary Edition of Dirty Dancing, or When Harry Met Sally.

Jewellery is always a good bet, but do make sure you know if she’s a gold or silver person, and check to see if she has pierced ears before you go spending your money. The Jewellery Catalogue has a good selection of items, and some pretty good prices as well. Also, though you don’t really think of it for jewellery, Amazon is quite good, and they seem to have some nice items that are on sale at the moment making it even better for the pocket too!

On the other hand, unless you really REALLY know your lady well, here are a few suggestions of things not to buy…

Peekaboo Pole Dancing Kit – you weren’t seriously thinking about this now were you? This is more the sort of gift that if she wants it, she’ll ask for it – or that she might buy and use for you if you’re very very very lucky. ;-)
A Massage – Not being funny, but if you want to buy her a massage then buy some oils and a book and learn together. Don’t pay for some stranger to massage her when you can do it yourself, and she will appreciate you doing it SO much more!

Last but not least, never ever buy a woman anti-wrinkle cream, bathroom scales,or anything to do with how to look better. These are not gifts, they’re good ways of getting yourself hurt! ;-)
