Capital One Savings Account

This morning I decided to do the sensible thing and open a savings account. Since I like to try and doing everything I possibly can online I opened a Capital One Savings Account, which was painlessly easy.

I opened the ‘Base Beater Account‘ which currently pays 5.80% internest on balances over £500. You can deposit money by cheque or electronic transfer and interest is paid either monthly or yearly, which ever you prefer.

I had a good look round at all the instant access savings accounts I could find and the Capitol One savings account does seem to be offering one of the best interest rates at the moment.
